"Put the Kibosh on" nghĩa là gì?

Từ kibosh xuất xứ từ tiếng Do Thái, nghĩa là ngăn chặn hay phá hủy. 'Put the kibosh on' có nghĩa là ngăn chặn một chương trình, không cho nó thành công.

“I’m getting ready (đang sửa soạn) to fly down to Florida to see a friend of mine in St. Augustine, a historic city on the coast.
