"Give as good as she gets" nghĩa là gì?

'Give as good as one gets' gồm những từ mà các bạn biết rồi, nhưng thành ngữ này có nghĩa là đối xử với người khác cũng giống như họ đối xử với mình, nhất là trong trường hợp có người công kích hay chỉ trích mình.
Ví dụ
“Polls (các cuộc thăm dò ý kiến) show that most (phần đông) Americans believe Senator (thượng nghị sĩ) Hillary Clinton is tough enough to be President of the United States. That’s because she has handled herself well against (đủ bản lĩnh để đáp lại) continuous political attacks (đả kích chính trị) by her opponents (đối thủ) and is seen as a strong negotiator (thương thuyết gia). She’s always given as good as she’s gotten (đối xử với người khác y như họ đối xử với bà vậy).”
“In our first season, a lot of sports columnists (nhà bình luận thể thao) doubted (nghi ngờ) that our basket- ball team would be any match against our fierce competitors. But we showed them that we were ready to take on any challenge. Game after game, we proved that we could fight back. We gave as good as we got. And now we’re the league champions.”
