"Come to one's senses" nghĩa là gì?

'Come to one's senses' có nghĩa là trở lại lối suy nghĩ hay hành động một cách hợp lý, minh mẫn.
Ví dụ
It isn't easy having a relative (họ hàng) staying with you. I know because my aunt has been living with me since she became sick. Yesterday I got so frustrated (khó chịu) with her constant complaining I was ready to raise my voice (sẵn sàng to tiếng) with her. Fortunately, I came to my senses (suy nghĩ hợp lý trở lại) and realized what I was about to do wasn't reasonable (vô lý). I then treated her nicely (đối đãi tử tế).
Mary hasn't had much success as a dancer (diễn viên múa) in New York City. Despite her talent (có tài), there's too much competition and not enough opportunity. I think she needs to be more realistic (cần thực tế hơn) about what she's doing with her life. If you ask me, she should come to her senses (suy nghĩ hợp lý và khôn ngoan hơn).
