"Bank on" nghĩa là gì?

'Bank on' có nghĩa là trông mong, hay đặt hy vọng vào một người hay một cái gì.
Ví dụ
When I was younger, I was badly injured (bị thương nặng) and had to have many operations (mổ xẻ). I’m so thankful for having my sister in my life. Whenever I needed help, I knew that she would take care of me. I could always bank on (trông mong) her.
Although a degree from a famous university might help you get a good job, don’t bank on it (đừng đặt hi vọng vào điều đó). Today’s employers are looking for candidates who can demonstrate (biểu dương) leadership, creativity, flexibility and interpersonal skills (tài giao tiếp với người khác). Those are skills you can depend on to get you hired.
