'He cannot change his skin' nghĩa là đánh chết cái nết không chừa.

God says: Just like the Ethiopian or the leopard cannot change their skin, because they are born that way, so ye that are accustomed to do evil are unable to do good.

A leopard cannot change his skin, forget about the panel beating done to him now to conform to democratic ethos, Buhari is a disaster to an egalitarian and democratic Nigeria.

'Skin in the game' là cụm từ do nhà đầu tư nổi tiếng Warren Buffett nghĩ ra, ám chỉ đến tình huống những người quản lý cấp cao, có thông tin trong, bỏ tiền ra mua cổ phần của chính công ty họ đang điều hành (a term coined by renowned investor Warren Buffett referring to a situation in which high-ranking insiders use their own money to buy stock in the company they are running); có rủi ro tài chính khi tham gia "cuộc chơi" nhằm đạt được một mục tiêu (to have "skin in the game" is to have incurred monetary risk by being involved in achieving a goal); có đầu tư riêng, có bàn tay, có bóng dáng...

Ví dụ

The Vietnam War ended 41 years ago, but the latest Communist Party leadership contest showed the north-south division is still a factor in the country's politics. And behind the scenes lurked China, which may not have wielded direct influence but clearly had skin in the game.
