"Sticks and stones may break my bones" nghĩa là gì?

'Sticks and stones may break my bones (but words will never hurt me)', (gậy gộc và gạch đá có thể làm gẫy xương tôi, chứ lời nói thì chẳng bao giờ), khi bạn nói vậy nghĩa là người khác có nói hay viết điều xấu gì về bạn thì cũng không làm bạn tổn thương hay buồn phiền (something that you say which means that people cannot hurt you with bad things they say or write about you); chẳng bị "đứt cọng lông chân" nào cả.

I am sick and tired of world's leaders, politicians and the United Nations coming out and condemning terrorist attacks over and over again and not taking some actions. I wonder if these so-called leaders and the terrorists have ever heard this saying by children in America: "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." But I am old school. These leaders need to get some big sticks and large stones and break many bones of these terrorists — until they stop the killings.

Is it just me, or does Cherish Waters already sound like the name of a star? Well, she must know a thing or two about the business of show since she's from Los Angeles, California, according to her show bio. Cherish, 25, reveals in the preview clip showing the first moments of the new season that she was bullied in school for being the only redhead. "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but b*tch, you don't even faze me," she says in response to her haters. Sounds like someone already has a catchphrase!
