"If the mountain will not come to Mohammed, Mohammed must go to the mountain" nghĩa là gì?

Phải tự tìm đường thôi. Photo by: Nina Uhlíková on Pexels.

"If the mountain will not come to Mohammed, Mohammed must go to the mountain" = nếu núi không đến với Mohammed thì Mohammed phải đi đến núi -> nghĩa là phải thay đổi hành động của mình cho phù hợp khi mọi thứ diễn ra không như mong đợi; tiếng Việt có câu "Trời không chịu Đất thì Đất phải chịu Trời" đó các bạn :)

Ví dụ
“’Mediation (hòa giải) on Wheels.’ What if you lived in a far-flung area and did not have the financial means (phương tiện tài chính) to travel to one of these centres? “This was the problem we had to resolve. As the old saying goes, ‘If the mountain will not come to Mohammed, then Mohammed must go the mountain.’ “In human interaction (tiếp xúc), there is always conflict (mâu thuẫn) and not everyone has the means or wherewithal (phương tiện cần thiết) to settle these conflicts in the traditional method in the courts.”

Unlike other newspapers, we will not expect people to pay for our content. We will not even expect them to travel to a stationery. If the mountain will not come to Mohammed, then Mohammed must go to the mountain. We will be freely available in hotspots (điểm nóng) around Malta, ready for pickup at your convenience (tiện nghi).

As the saying goes, if the mountain will not come to Mohammed, Mohammed will go to the mountain. I feel the same about Ikea. More years than I care to remember ago, I flounced (hối hả) back to New Zealand from Europe and unpacked a shipping container stuffed with Ikea goodies that (dare I say it) felt a little fancy at the time.
