"Sealed with a kiss" nghĩa là gì?

Cách để nàng ngưng nói chuyện... Photo by Radu Florin

"Sealed with a kiss" (SWAK) = Khóa chặt môi/đóng chặt bằng một nụ hôn -> Nghĩa gốc là để dấu son môi lên bì thư như nụ hôn vậy đó, còn nghĩa bóng là viết hoặc gửi tình cảm và sự yêu thương cho ai.

Ví dụ
Sealed with a kiss! Princess Diana and Charles' wedding day smooch (sự âu yếm nhau) is voted the country's most memorable - followed by William and Kate's.

The DA presidential candidacy (ứng cử tổng thống) looked like a serendipitous (có khả năng cầu may) lifeline (dây cứu sinh). The arrangement, sealed with a kiss, lasted for 48 hours. Display Adverts.

But these romances are, the vast majority (phần chính, đa số) of the time, depressingly chaste (mộc mạc, minh bạch) (Batman v Superman’s bathtub aside, but that it is the peak of sexy superhero times in these blockbusters (phim bom tấn) says a lot). They often exist to put a film’s female lead aside on a pedestal (bệ, đôn), a goal for hero and villain (tên côn đồ, kẻ hung ác) to fight over rather than an actual character, and are often sealed with a kiss and nothing more. They are rarely the focus, rarely of any real dramatic weight next to all the punch ups and comic book fun. They’re just... kinda boring?

"Not able to get (something) for love or money" = Không thể có được điều gì bằng cả tình yêu lẫn tiền bạc -> Không có cách nào có được điều gì đó.

Ví dụ
This entertainment center is not for children, that's why my nephew (cháu trai) is not able to get it for love or money.

Tickets for buffet on the 3rd floor are just for tourguides (hướng dẫn viên du lịch) not for tourists, so we are not able to get it for love or money.

When I went to America Restaurant, I haven't booked a table yet and I was not able to get it for love or money while waiting for an available table but I'm not patient enough to wait for more than an hour. So I decided to leave.

Mối tình đầu. Photo by Jose Chomali

"Love's young dream" = Tình yêu là giấc mơ trẻ/giấc mơ thanh xuân của tình yêu -> Cặp đôi trẻ đang yêu nhau/một tình yêu bình dị của các cặp đôi trẻ hoặc mới yêu.

Ví dụ
PRINCE CHARLES and Princess Diana were far from love’s young dream. But why does one royal biographer (người viết tiểu sử trong hoàng gia) say the future King was “utterly humiliated” (cực kì bị lăng mạ, xỉ nhục) by the People’s Princess?

After having a lovely first half of the day boulevarding (đi quanh đại lộ) round town and generally behaving like love's young dream, Joe and his girlfriend then return to their house where, he says, they proceed to spend the afternoon uploading a video to YouTube of themselves playing pranks on one another (chơi khăm nhau).

Former Strictly Come Dancing couple Kevin and Karen Clifton appeared to be love’s young dream, but sadly they announced in March 2018 that they were no longer romantically involved. Despite their separation, 19 months on the pair appear to remain close friends. So what sweet memory from their time together did Kevin recently share?

"Loved up" nghĩa là gì?

"Loved up" = Cảm giác hạnh phúc, được yêu thương nhau và nhìn rất tình cảm, tình tứ/ trạng thái say mê và mê ly sau khi dùng thuốc/chất kích thích.

Ví dụ
Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson looked loved up rather than terrified as they checked out a Halloween event over the weekend.

Mike and Zara Tindall appear to be making the most of their time in Tokyo, with the former rugby player (người chơi bóng bầu dục) sharing a loved-up sightseeing selfie with his wife on Instagram yesterday.

The Little Mix beauty has been through a lot and recently opened up to the world about trying to take her own life after being targeted by vicious (xấu xa, ác ý) trolls. So it's about time that girl had something to smile about. And thanks to boyfriend Chris Hughes , she can't wipe her grin (cái cười toe toét) off her face. The couple look besotted (làm đần độn) with each other in their latest loved-up snap. Jesy, 28, grabs hold of her man's face as she leans (nghiêng) in for a kiss. The singer bursts out laughing as she shares a joke with Chris, 26, who looks blissfully happy to have her near.

"Love goggles" nghĩa là gì?

Anh soi chi vại? Photo by Tim Mossholder

"Love goggles" = Kính râm tình yêu -> Không thấy một khuyết điểm nào về người mình yêu.

Ví dụ
We saw Sheldon feel love’s keen sting as early as in Season 4, but he never changed much. Falling in love made no difference to the man who took everything literally, and Sheldon was immune (miễn khỏi) to any love goggles that would make him overlook anything he might want to correct.

Between Bumble, Tinder and Hinge; we’re a nation obsessed with swiping. But if you’re on every dating app known to man and are still having no luck finding ‘the one’, then this could be just the festival for you. So put your love goggles on and get yourself down to the Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival.

Like many of her current R&B peers, Walker is working through her obsession (sự ám ảnh) with ’90s R&B. “Body” flips 702’s “Get It Together,” and “Come Thru,” both samples and features Usher. Otherwise, her writing is irresistibly (hấp dẫn không cưỡng lại được) fresh. Whether she has on love goggles or is shaking up her boyfriend by pointing a gun at him—out of love, of course—it’s part of what makes Summer Walker feel like a real person, making the real misguided (lạc lối, lừa dối) decisions that happen when you’re over it, or telling yourself that you are.

"Love conquers all" nghĩa là gì?

Cùng em vượt qua bao nhiêu gập ghềnh. Photo by Sarah Cervantes

"Love conquers all" = Tình yêu chiến thắng tất cả -> Tình yêu thật sự chiến thắng mọi khó khăn và thử thách.

Ví dụ
When it comes to relationships, you've probably heard the romantic sentiment (cảm xúc tình yêu, lãng mạn) that love conquers all. At this point, it seems a bit redundant (dư thừa, không cần thiết) to blame Disney movies for setting this lofty (cao quý, kiêu căng) expectation.

Ultimately the twist on “love conquers all” here is one about accepting your neighbor, and the choice not to fight — to lay down past prejudices (định kiến, mối hại) and present xenophobic zealotry (lòng cuồng tín, tính quá khích bài ngoại, ghét người nước ngoài) and try to move forward together.

Maybe this level of clarity (sự sáng tỏ) is no longer recognizable. Maybe we enjoy paying out the wazoo for lousy (đầy rận, đầy dãy, lắm nhiều) results. But maybe the call to restore food freedom will activate the love behind a velvet revolution (cách mạng nhung). Love conquers all, right? We’re all for love, right?

"Love bombs" nghĩa là gì?

Yêu thương nhau bao nhiêu là cho đủ? Photo by Alvaro Reyes

"Love bombs" = Qủa bom tình yêu -> Sự khẳng định hoặc thể hiện tình yêu thương và tình cảm. Thường danh từ này để dạng số nhiều nhé các bạn.

Ví dụ
"In normal circumstances, falling in love is a process, (yêu là một quá trình)" Bennett says. "Healthy people get to know each other before expressing feelings of love, even if they feel strong instant attraction. Love bombers, however, will quickly express their feelings of love, maybe even within days."

The narcissist (người yêu bản thân quá nhiều và thích khoe về bản thân) is ultimately ‘manufacturing the positive appraisals’ (đánh giá, thẩm định tích cực) about oneself in you, in hopes of getting it back in return, in the form of praise. The love bombs act as a mirror to your deepest desires of being accepted, wanted, and to be seen.

"Love bombing is ultimately inauthentic (giả tạo) and manipulative (gạt gẫm bằng mánh khóe, gian manh)," Bennett says. "Your brain gets hooked on the highs of the attention. So, once the abuse and controlling behavior come, you’re less likely to recognize it and act on it. Plus, all your partner has to do is throw out a few more love bombs and you’re more likely to forgive and forget. The best method is to watch for the signs of love bombing at the beginning, so you can cut that person off because you get sucked in by his or her manipulation."

"Love to death" nghĩa là gì?

Yêu thương quá vô vàn hóa vô lời. Photo by Bruno Sousa

"Love (someone or something) to death" = Yêu đến chết -> Yêu ai rất rất nhiều/ vô cùng thích điều gì.

Ví dụ
“I love her to death, she’s has been so wonderful, she knows this job is going to bring a lot of late-night phone calls, but she’s there for me and that means an awful lot.”

Look, I’ve known Monica since I was 13, 12 years old, strangely enough, so she’s more like a sister to me, even though we had to make out on TV. [Laughs] I love her to death and we have joked about building our own little Chicago spinoff (sáng kiến), where Dawson and Mills find their way to Puerto Rico and start their own firehouse down there.

“I am so excited to watch him play,” Johnny Juzang said. “That this is his last year blows my mind. He is one of my closest and best friends. Definitely a source of motivation (nguồn động lực) for me and in the summer times he usually comes back home, so we would spend summers together, run all over town and work out 3-4 times a day. He is super close to me and I love him to death.”

"For the love of Mike" nghĩa là gì?

"For the love of Mike" = Vì tình yêu dành cho Mike -> Cách diễn đạt sự shock, kinh hãi, mất hết tinh thần hoặc giật gân các kiểu. Các bạn có thể sử dụng "Mike" như từ "God" (Chúa ôi!) nhé.

Ví dụ
“How, for the love of Mike,” I wail, still in my pajamas (quần áo ngủ), “is that supposed to reassure (đảm bảo, cam đoan một lần nữa) me?”

What's a Grabowski? If you're a Chicago Bears fan, Chicago ex-pat or Mike Ditka follower, you probably already know. For the rest of us, it's a name used for hardworking, blue-collar (tầng lớp công nhân). Chicagoans, the kind who just want a cold beer and some pizza (nothing fancy; just a cracker-thin crust (mẩu bánh mì), and cut it into squares, for the love of Mike) at the end of the day.

Older Cait has regrets too. She returns and meets Caithleen; their scene together on a bench (ghế dài, ghế đá) on St. Stephen’s Green is one of the highlights of Bloomsday. After Cait tells stories about the fate (số phận) of people Caithleen knows, she says to her younger self, “for the love of Mike I don’t care what anybody says it’d be much better for the world to be governed (cai trị, quản lý) by the women in it. You wouldn’t see women going and killing one another and slaughtering (giết mổ). When do you ever see women rolling around drunk like they do, or gambling (đánh bạc) every penny they have? Because as a woman, whatever she does, she knows where to stop ….”

Lần đầu mà! Không sao! Photo courtesy: Armins Senkans

"Have a bash" = tông vào -> thử một việc gì đó lần đầu tiên, đặc biệt khi bạn không chắc nó sẽ thành công. Chủ yếu được nói bởi người Anh.

Ví dụ
Why not have a bash at windsurfing (lướt ván buồm)?

Would it not be better if the explicit (rõ ràng) aim of (and expectation behind) most charities was not to exist forever but to use all their resources to have a bash at solving a problem and then shut down (preferably without leaving a massive pension (trợ cấp) liability (trách nhiệm pháp lý) behind it).

In 2016, pal Charlie Pitcher who, at the time, held the men’s solo record for rowing the Atlantic, suggested she have a bash at the women’s record. Kiko started training but six months before the challenge she had to have a second tumour (khối u) removed.

"Like it or lump it" nghĩa là gì?

Nhìn giề, muốn khỏe đẹp thì phải tập thể thao thôi! Photo by ŞULE MAKAROĞLU on Unsplash

"Like it or lump it" có từ lump là gộp lại, xếp lại thành đống -> cụm từ này nghĩa là nếu không thích điều ấy thì vẫn phải cam chịu thôi vì không còn sự lựa chọn nào khác.

Ví dụ
Like it or lump it, Brexit is a massive (to lớn, nghiêm trọng) change and surely numerous days of scrutiny (sự kiểm soát kỹ lưỡng) are required. False arguments by those who feel impatience over Brexit’s progress (tiến triển) are not acceptable.

Relationships need to be managed efficiently (một cách hiệu quả) to encourage repeat purchases and referrals (người được giới thiệu). Like it or lump it we’re well into the digital age. Your business needs to evolve (tiến triển, tiến hóa) with your customer expectations. Otherwise, you’ll struggle to meet their needs and lose out on current and future business.

The response (phản ứng, trả lời) from DC Comics representatives was rather tart (chua chát), a kind of ‘like it or lump it’, but when a number of retailers decided that they would lump it, another DC Comics representative smoothed things over, apologised and said that everyone was going to get a Joker: Year of the Villain #1 Retailer Gift Variant Edition.

"Hard up" nghĩa là gì?

Tôi mỗi khi giữa tháng. Photo courtesy: [SD]

"Hard up" -> cháy túi, hết sạch tiền.

Ví dụ
I'm too hard up to buy fancy clothes.

Damon Gibbons, the director of the Centre for Responsible Credit thinktank, said: “QuickQuid have been playing fast and loose with the rules for a number of years. It’s shameful that it has gone into administration leaving hard-up customers without compensation (đền bù) while its parent company in the US is profitable (có lời) and a former director of the company is sitting on an influential (có ảnh hưởng) FCA committee.”

From the award-winning team behind I, Daniel Blake, comes the film Sorry We Missed You - a powerful exploration of the contemporary (hiện đại) world of work, the gig (công việc tạm thời) economy and the challenges faced by one family trying to hold it all together. A hard-up delivery driver (Kris Hitchen) and his wife (Debbie Honeywood) struggle to get by in modern-day England.

Từ từ thôi ông ơi. Photo courtesy: Pannell_2010

"Hard on someone/the heels" = dữ dội ở gót chân -> điều gì đó xảy ra rất nhanh hoặc ngay lập tức sau một thứ gì đó.

Ví dụ
Unfortunately, bad news has come hard on the heels of good.

Li Wei’s comments come hard on the heels of Chinese president and general secretary (tổng bí thư) of the Communist Party Xi Jinping’s call for widespread (rộng rãi) blockchain adoption (chấp nhận) in China on Friday.

In the super competitive world of B2B marketing, it’s a battle between your success –or that of your competitors. The right marketing strategies can keep you way ahead of the curve, but if you aren’t keeping up with the times, your competition will be hard on your heels.

"Like it's such a big deal" nghĩa là gì?

Photo by Olav Ahrens Røtne on Unsplash

"Like it's such a big deal" nghĩa là không quan trọng một chút nào, đang làm quá lên, như chuyện to tát lắm không bằng. Cụm từ này dùng để mỉa mai vì sự quan trọng hóa vấn đề trong khi nó không quá ấn tượng hoặc hệ trọng.

Ví dụ
“Guys don’t assume (cho rằng) Sam got hacked,” another posted. “Why can’t he post stuff like this? Because he’s gay? stop acting like it’s such a big deal. You’ve just never seen this side of him before. He’s 23 chill (sic).”

“People don’t expect you to keep your word if they don’t hear from you that day, or if you’re not like, ‘Hey I am on my way,’ or ‘Hey I’m here,’” Harris said. “I’ll ring the doorbell (chuông cửa) and everyone is like, ‘Oh my gosh, you came!’ like it’s such a big deal. And I’m just thinking, I told you I was coming.”

Trigger (gây ra) her mental curiosity (sự tò mò trong tâm trí). Get her asking you questions. This is a good sign. Once you are connecting at this level then I would go in for the kiss. And never ask for a kiss; just do it when the moment seems right. If she responds in kind then that’s great, but don’t act like it’s such a big deal. Jumping up and down on the couch like Tom Cruise will do you no favours. Instead, you should — slowly — start getting physical.

"Like money in the bank" nghĩa là gì?

Photo by Vladimir Solomyani on Unsplash

"Like money in the bank" = như tiền nằm trong ngân hàng.

“People don’t believe that any Australian city will have a Day Zero,” he says. “I’m not so sure. Granted, Australia currently has plenty of groundwater, but water in the ground is like money in the bank – if you have more going out than coming in, you’ll eventually (rốt cuộc) end up in trouble.”

This batter (bột nhão làm bánh) must be prepared in advance (trước). “A batch (mẻ bánh) of crêpes (bánh kếp) in the freezer is like money in the bank because the thin pancakes are the basis of so many economical yet elegant (thanh lịch) dishes,” reads a 1979 Taste story that republished this “simple, egg-rich” recipe (công thức).

What is more valuable than a brand (or personal) reputation (danh tiếng)? Many PR deliverables (chuyển giao) are powerful in building reputation over time, and social media accelerates and amplifies (mở rộng, phóng đại) their impact. A glowing review (or unfortunate video interview) can blow up on social platforms in the time it takes to say, “Call the PR firm.” It’s hard to put a price tag on customer loyalty (lòng trung thành) or positive perception, but in today’s unpredictable media environment, it’s like money in the bank.

"Hanged for a sheep as a lamb" nghĩa là gì?

Chơi lớn thử một lần. Photo courtesy: chrisevans

"Hanged for a sheep as a lamb" = vẫn bị treo cổ dù là cừu hay là dê -> ai đó sẽ phạm tội nặng hơn vì hình phạt vẫn giữ nguyên. Thành ngữ xuất phát từ hình phạt ngày xưa, khi trộm cừu sẽ xử tội chết.

Ví dụ
Dad said I was to be home from the dance by eleven o’clock, but I enjoyed myself so much that it was midnight before I realized it, so I though I might as well be hanged for a sheep as a lamb and stopped on till the end.

“Law reform (cải cách) requires more than simply purloining (ăn cắp) another jurisdiction’s legislation (thẩm quyền lập pháp). It is a good way to start of course, we do not have to reinvent (phát minh lại) the wheel, but if we are to steal we may as well be hanged for a sheep as a lamb,” she said.

There’s a proverb that applies here. When the English authorities long ago imposed capital punishment for any theft of farm animals, no matter how small, the pilfering (ăn cắp vặt) of the fattest, most valuable livestock went up. If taking any animal was going to get you hanged, “might as well be hanged for a sheep as a lamb,” the folk wisdom said.

"Paper-thin" = mỏng như tờ giấy. Nghĩa khác là ít ỏi, thiếu thốn, yếu ớt.

Ví dụ
She would make this paper-thin pizza — unfortunately we never learned how to make it and we lost the recipe for that one.

According to the release, the material (chất liệu) is paper thin and needs no power source and “can hide a person, a vehicle, a ship, spacecraft and buildings.”

Of all the board shorts we’ve tested and researched, Patagonia’s Stretch Planing Board Shorts are our favorite. They’re paper-thin, unbelievably quick-drying (mau khô), and will accommodate (bao gồm) most sunbathers and water sport enthusiasts alike.

And some of the guys who usually work with the first- and second-teams are presently helping on scout (trinh sát, do thám) team. That's the overview of how the injury-ridden (bị chấn thương) and paper-thin Dallas Cowboys are surviving their pre-Eagles work week.

"Can't carry a tune (in bucket)" hoặc "cannot carry a tune in a paper sack" có nghĩa là không có năng khiếu hát hò, không biết hát.

Ví dụ
I’ve heard many people who can’t carry a tune in a bucket but can play the guitar beautifully. Such is the way with education.

I inherited (thừa hưởng) your singing voice and can’t carry a tune in a bucket … but he lights up anyway, just like Aaron and I used to.

I know it would break her heart if I or anyone told her point-blank (nói thẳng) that she can't carry a tune, so I know that would not be the right thing to do.

"Dine and dash" có từ "dash" nghĩa là chạy đi rất vội = ăn rồi chạy -> những người ăn xong nhưng không trả tiền.

Ví dụ
They went to the restaurant and pulled a dine and dash.

According to the lawsuit (vụ kiện), which was filed (đệ trình) on Sept. 20, the men visited the location as often as two or three times every week or two. The plaintiffs (nguyên đơn) claim the manager on duty that night had just transferred to the Grand Avenue location and hadn't ever seen any of the men, and couldn't have been just trying to stop them from engaging in a dine and dash scam (mưu đồ).

Cass thought a ‘dine and dash’ was a fitting crime for a food-lover’s city like Pasadena. It is the birthplace of chef Julia Child, home to 500 restaurants, and one of America’s few Le Cordon Bleu culinary schools. To its 141,371 residents, Pasadena is known as the “City of Roses,” and it is Cass who cleans up its quirkier (kỳ quặc) criminal cases. “They’re what we call the ‘X-Files,’” he told me.

"White paper" = giấy trắng -> báo cáo/thông tin chính thức từ chính phủ hoặc các cơ quan, tập đoàn...

Ví dụ
The white paper details how to overcome the emotional response to a recession (suy thoái) and thrive during tough times by focusing on and strengthening your brand now.

We want the government to publish a white paper to clarity how many farmers have applied for the KALIA benefit (đơn xin trợ cấp), how many of them got the money and who others will get the assistance (hỗ trợ) in future.

Businesses often have a knee-jerk reaction (phản ứng bất ngờ) and devalue (mất giá) their brand, according to the white paper. For example, slashed (cắt giảm) marketing budgets hurt lead generation when it's needed most.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade (Bộ Công thương) (MoIT)’s Industry Agency and the UN Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO -Tổ chức Phát triển Công nghiệp Liên Hiệp Quốc) on October 22 released the Vietnam Industry White Paper 2019.

"Go peddle your papers" = đi bán báo đi -> biến đi, cút đi, đừng làm phiền tôi (như cách đáp trả với người bán báo dạo).

Ví dụ
“Go peddle your papers, boys. I'm auditioning chorus girls (đội đồng ca nữ) in ten minutes.” Ziegfeld aimed his index finger at Harry.

"You're nuts, brother, if you ain't something worse. Now go on. Scram (cút). Go peddle your paper." Bill's glance darted out the window.

Arch Bergquist jumped to his feet, interrupting, "Who gave you the right to tell us what to do? You don't have to make a living in this town. You only live here three months of the year, for God's sake. Go peddle your papers somewhere else."

For about thirty seconds the blonde (tóc vàng) looked at him and then she burst out laughing. She practically doubled up. "Overboard!" she said. "You came in very handy (có ích), sonny boy (cu cậu). Now that everything's set, you can go peddle your papers somewhere else."

"For the love of" nghĩa là gì?

A little thing called love. Photo by Brigitte Tohm

"For the love of (someone or something)" = Vì ai/điều gì, vì lợi ích của ai/việc gì, làm cho ai/điều gì bởi tình yêu thương/niềm đam mê chứ không phải vì tiền bạc hay lợi ích riêng của mình.

Ví dụ
In the past she has run a space for people to dance for the love of it - with the lights off and the music up.

No matter how much fame (danh tiếng, tiếng tăm) he attracts, Markiplier genuinely loves both his work and his fans. As an engineering school dropout (bỏ học), the YouTube creator has always done this gig (hợp đồng thuê ban nhạc biểu diễn) for the love of it. He originally bought his first camera with money left over from a tax refund and used it to begin making videos online.

Maslow believed that in order to fulfill the need for self-actualization (sự tự hiện thực hóa), all other needs would have to be not only satisfied but also mastered. On this particular note, I differ. I believe there is a short cut to self-actualization. There are several amongst us that pursue a passion (theo đuổi đam mê) as a profession for the love of it. This allows for your creativity to peak (đạt tới đỉnh cao nhất) since you enjoy what you do. Happiness and bliss (niềm vui sướng, hạnh phúc) become perennial (vĩnh viễn, bất diệt).

"800-pound gorilla" nghĩa là gì?

Ngẫm nghĩ sự đời :) Photo by: Valentin Jorel on Unsplash

"800-pound gorilla" = con khỉ đột 800 pound -> nghĩa là người, nhóm hoặc tổ chức có quyền năng rất lớn (lớn cả về kích cỡ và tầm ảnh hưởng) đến mức không cần để ý tới luật lệ hay lời đe dọa của người khác.

Ví dụ
Where does the 800-pound gorilla sit? Anywhere it wants to. When a retiree (người nghỉ hưu) exhausts the contributions they have made in the first 1-3 years of retirement with the remainder of the tab for the rest of their lives (and in some cases, their spouses lives) to be picked up by taxpayers, we have a very small room with a very large gorilla sitting in it.

You cannot address budgetary (ngân sách) reform (cải cách) in Illinois without addressing pension reform. You cannot address high property taxes in Illinois without addressing pension (trợ cấp) reform. You cannot understand the push by the tax-and-spend crowd to tax retirement income without understanding the need for pension reform. You see, pension reform is the 800-pound gorilla of state government dysfunction.

“We have the big 800-pound gorilla, meaning Millstone, which is under the 10-year agreement,” she said. “Bear in mind that merchant (nhà buôn) nuclear plants are historically getting out of the business, they’re being retired early. It’s all going to come down to dollars and cents.”

Are the banks just going to put up the shutters and move on to making more profits (lợi nhuận), knowing they still owe thousands of people millions of pounds which was wrongly taken from them in a scandal that was three decades in the making?

Causeway Capital, which acquired the brand together with 96 branches from administrators at KPMG in February, said that it had taken the “difficult decision” to put up the shutters after a detailed review of the estate (tài sản).
