Thiện lành thay 'buôn thần bán thánh'

cấm "gọi hồn" và "tẩy nghiệp" vì đi ngược lại giáo lý đạo phật, gây tác động xấu lên trật tự và an ninh xã hội...

Tens of thousands of worshippers have been paying the 18th century Ba Vang pagoda in northern Quang Ninh province between 1 million and several hundred million dong (US$45-US$13,500) to have their bad karma (nghiệp chướng) vanquished (làm cho biến mất, xua tan, tan biến), according to the state-run (của nhà nước) Lao Dong newspaper (báo).

The Committee for Religious Affairs (ủy ban tôn giáo chính phủ), a government body, issued a statement on its website on Friday saying “the ritual goes against Buddhist philosophy (giáo lý đạo phật) and violates (vi phạm) Vietnam’s law on religion (tôn giáo) and folk beliefs”.

“It has a negative impact (tác động xấu) on social order (trật tự xã hội) and security (an ninh),” it said.
