"A notch better than" nghĩa là gì?

Điện thoại mới của tui đỉnh chưa nè! Photo by mentatdgt from Pexels

“A notch better than (someone or something)” = một mức độ tốt hơn -> tốt hơn đáng kể (không quá nhiều).

Ví dụ
No way is the iPhone notch better than that. It's ugly but not close to iPhone notch ugly.

The core model (mô hình cốt lõi) with standards (estimation (10)) tracks (theo dõi) the actual ratings for June 2001 quite well, with an average absolute error (sai số tuyệt đối) of just 1.4 notches (mức), about half a notch better than the core model without standards.

I sit back with a feeling of having been invited to a damn good dinner party, one of them with good wine and good conversations (trò chuyện) – and goes even home with a little food for thought. – “Blame (trách cứ) our parents for later in life even to acknowledge that we are not a notch better?”

Other countries finishing further back were Mongolia (81st), Malaysia (82nd), Vietnam (83rd), Indonesia (84th), China (94th), Laos (104th), Cambodia (106th), and Myanmar (133rd). Overall, Taiwan finished in the same spot as in last year's report, which was one notch better than its 26th-place ranking in 2018.

"Notch sth up" = đếm, ghi điểm vào, thêm vào (cộng điểm, kiểm điểm...). Nghĩa khác là đạt được cái gì.

Ví dụ
We finish off with another Class 3 and GREEN REIGN (6) gets his chance to notch up his first Hong Kong win.

Bury St Edmunds notched up their fourth consecutive (liên tiếp) win in the National League 2 South with a comfortable victory over basement dwellers (cư dân) Bournemouth, writes Simon Lord.

Tom Walkinshaw Racing might have just taken over as the British marque's representative (đại diện nhãn hiệu chế tạo) in the IMSA GT Championship but it had yet to notch up a result better than fifth in two years over in the other 24-hour over at Le Mans.

Dow futures initially surged (tăng vọt) but were last down 142 points, or 0.7%, suggesting the index (chỉ số) would sink (chìm) following a rally (đại hội) on Tuesday that saw it notch up its biggest point gain on record (kỷ lục) and its biggest percentage increase since 1933.

"Waste of space" nghĩa là gì?

Bình tĩnh tận hưởng cuộc sống, đi đâu mà vội Photo by Andrea Piacquadio from Pexels

'Waste of space' = lãng phí không gian -> người/vật vô dụng, không có giá trị.

Ví dụ
From the way the Stadium is currently set up, it seems like Infinity Ward will eventually expand upon it in future updates. Let’s hope so, because the way it is now is just a giant waste of space.

Loneliness (sự cô đơn) can make us feel that merely prolonging life is futile (phù phiếm), as our lives are not worth living. As 80-year-old Ellen, disabled and living alone, told me: ‘I am an optimist (người lạc quan) by nature and often I have to be, when I face another pointless day when I’m a waste of space.’

What a difference a week makes. For several years now, we’ve got used to being told that experts (chuyên gia) are a waste of space. Doomsters and gloomsters who trade in telling you things you don’t want to hear. What was needed was a good honest dose of mindless optimism to talk the country up. Want to believe that Brexit will be a brilliant success and there’s an oven-ready deal to take us to the promised land? Then the Tories had just the government for you.

"Raise the specter of" nghĩa là gì?

Em nhớ biển quá rồi Photo by Artem Beliaikin from Pexels

'Raise the specter of something' = nâng cao nhận thức hoặc mối quan tâm, bận tâm về những thứ đáng sợ, khó chịu sắp xảy ra.

Ví dụ
Defenders of the status quo raise the specter of high-rise apartment buildings rising in the middle of low-rise neighborhoods as a reason to oppose such moves. They forget that one can have denser, more affordable housing without adding apartment buildings.

Widespread infections among health workers reflect the universal difficulty of stemming the spread of the pandemic. But sick health workers do double damage: They add to the toll while also hampering (cản trở) the ability to respond to the crisis. On top of that, they raise the specter of hospitals becoming breeding grounds of infection.

Chandler said domestic violence (bạo lực gia đình) programs across the state are also worried about losing donor funding during the coronavirus pandemic, as organizations are forced to cancel fundraising events and as individual donors might choose to put their money elsewhere. Fundraising shortfalls raise the specter of having to lay off (cắt giảm, tạm giãn thợ) staff, even as coronavirus heightens the need for domestic violence programs.

"Waltz through something" nghĩa là gì

Sáng thức dậy phải thật "chill" Photo by Pixabay

'Waltz through something' = vượt qua dễ dàng (nơi nào đó, nhiệm vụ).

Ví dụ
But it so isn't. During her waltz through busy streets, the woman is seen listening to "The Difference" by Flume feat. Toro y Moi. And when she can, she enables Apple's Active Noise Cancellation mode to get the best from her music. But when she needs to hear what's going on, that's when Transparency mode kicks in.

But Pisces of all ages will feel Saturn’s impact: With this ringed gas giant beginning its slow waltz through your subconscious (tiềm thức) zone, you can expect some major shifts relating to your emotional processing. You may discover that you’re ready to confront—and subsequently break—multigenerational (nhiều thế hệ) toxic patterns.

These older parents waltz through life without sufficiently planning for their own seasons of retirement (nghỉ hưu). Instead, they implicitly believe their children are “honour bound” to wholly, fully and endlessly support them in retirement; to fully pay for their medical bills; and in some extreme cases, even wholly settle their external financial debts!

"Waltz up to" nghĩa là gì?

Công chúa nhỏ của bố Photo by Tatiana Syrikova

'Waltz up to someone or something' = tiếp cận hoặc xuất hiện bên cạnh ai/cái gì một cách cố tình, tự tin hoặc trơ trẽn (giống như khi làm quen ai đấy).

Ví dụ
“I think it takes a very special, unique, just incredible human to play the role of a mascot (linh vật),” Smulka said. “Especially T.C Bear, if you’re going to look like a teddy bear and waltz up to kids you have to have that magic twinkle.”

Video shows a 33-year-old man waltz up to the altar (bàn thờ) of St. Anthony of Padua on Manhattan Avenue near Noble Street at around 9:30 am, before pouring the red juice on the holy table and a bible (kinh thánh), and spraying some of the liquid on Father Jossy Vattothu — staining the priest’s robes and leaving him in shock, according to the pastor (mục sư).

That's what makes the mobility items you find throughout Indivisible so much fun: they always have a dual purpose. Take the spear (cái giáo), for example: your first inclination (ý định) might be to waltz up to enemies and stick'em with the pointy end, which you can do, but it's more useful as a means to pole vault Ajna up to high ledges that she couldn't reach before.

"Get changed" nghĩa là gì?

"Get changed" = Thay đồ/thay quần áo.

Ví dụ
"You don't want to have to get changed 7 or 8 times a day". What are the challenges that the modern young plant growers (người trồng cây) face nowadays?

Shellie Milward still remembers having to get changed in the car park. Hardly the ideal preparation as cars whiz by while you're putting your boots on.

Whilst Kim is struggling to get into her suit, sister Kourtney is in no rush to help her sister get changed, but is in fact all ready to go with her matching brown coloured latex suit.

"Get behind in" nghĩa là gì?

"Get behind in (something)" = Chỉ theo bóng đằng sau/cứ tụt lại phía sau -> Không thể làm công việc/bài tập hiện tại; tiến trình và hành động chậm hơn người khác; không thể hài lòng với số tiền mình phải trả/trách nhiệm tài chính.

Ví dụ
“I can’t say enough, ‘If you get behind in rent or think you will, please come see us,’” said Berman. “It’s much easier to take care of it now than later, especially while the funds are still available.”

She says her son is feeling conflicted. "He's a teenagers so he's like yay, school is out. But also at the same time, these grades count, he doesn't want to get behind in anything, they're not really supposed to be socializing with friends, so it's just really a cause for concern."

At this point, you might wonder what advice behavioural scientists have actually given the UK government regarding Covid-19. As a behavioural scientist whose job is to produce evidence for policy in Ireland, I certainly do. There should be a clear articulation of a strategy that is best for all, encouraging behaviours that everyone can get behind in a national collective effort, and that people can badger their fellow citizens to stick to. Instead, there are foggy statements of rationale, for behaviours that are disputed by national experts, that some people are encouraging their fellow citizens to stick two fingers up to. My mother is in her seventies and lives in Oxford, where I grew up. Her response to current official advice is unprintable (quá xúc phạm, quá khiếm nhã không in được (vì quá tục tĩu)).

"Thank you to keep your opinions to yourself" nghĩa là gì?

Tốt nhất không nói gì thì hơn. Photo by cottonbro from Pexels

"I'll thank you to keep your opinions to yourself" hoặc "thank you to mind your own business" = cảm ơn vì đã giữ ý kiến đó lại cho bản thân -> ý là đừng tọc mạch hay can thiệp vào chuyện của tôi, tôi cũng không quan tâm đâu.

Ví dụ
I know I'm not your choice of a wife for him, but I doubt anyone would be. I'll thank you to keep your opinions to yourself in future.

She didn't act as if she'd heard him or even knew be appreciated (đánh giá cao). But since that is not the case, I'll thank you to mind your own business.

"Be that as it may, what you're doing is wrong. And I for one am not going to sit by and say nothing."
'Well, I'd thank you to keep your opinions to YOURSELF," roars (gầm lên) Dad.

"Oh, shut up, Quentin," the Lord Roland snapped (cáu kỉnh). “I'll thank you to keep your opinions to yourself. You haven't seen fit to commit (cam kết) any of your soldiers (lính) to this little undertaking (nhiệm vụ), a rather strange position given that the monstrosity (sự kỳ quái) borders your lands.

"Get (one's) back up" = Làm ai cáu lên/điên tiết.

Ví dụ
It’s not surprising to hear that Vicky doesn’t take ‘no’ for an answer. “I’ve always been a stubborn mule (người ương bướng). And I’m a typical Scorpio. If you get my back up, watch out. What I hate is to see people not telling the truth and hiding something.”

She faced backlash from users accusing her of not having said enough about him in her post. Speaking to The Sun she said, 'Very few things get my back up but those messages really annoyed me.' 'Don’t tell me what I need to post on my Instagram. What is this weird culture?' 'For me it would have been wildly inappropriate to post anything more.'

"The good news is that with advances in research and veterinary (thú y) medicine, catastrophic injury rates will decrease over time. "No one cares more for racehorses than those who care for them on a daily basis." Others on social media are of the same thought. "People who say ban it really get my back up, do we ban people from driving cars? Or ban surfing? Maybe we should ban walking to people die every day. Time to move on."

"Can't thank you enough" nghĩa là gì?

Photo by Panos Sakalakis from Pexels

"I/we can't thank you enough" = Tôi không biết nói gì hơn để cảm ơn bạn -> biểu thị một sự biết ơn sâu sắc với thái độ chân thành. Thường dùng để cảm ơn ai đó làm một điều rất quan trọng và ý nghĩa đối với bạn.

Ví dụ
We can’t thank you enough for your kindness (lòng tốt), it really does show what a fantastic community (cộng đồng tuyệt vời) we have.

You’ve given us a fantastic launch to our funding (tài trợ) drive, donating (quyên góp) over £1,500 – with many of those being monthly payments. We really can’t thank you enough.

“We can’t thank you enough for coming forward,” Isgett said. “Thank you for your generosity (sự rộng lượng) in coming forward. It is clear the character in this community is great.”

“They put together some FaceTimes for my mom and her two siblings," Scotch explained, "They were able to say their goodbyes. My dad recorded (ghi lại) it so we could see it as well... those nurses and health care providers (nhà cung cấp) are so overworked (làm việc quá sức) right now and struggling, but they were able to give my family at least a gift that we can’t thank them enough for."

"(Someone) won't thank you for" = sẽ không cảm ơn bạn vì điều đó -> cảm thấy khó chịu vì điều người khác làm.

Ví dụ
You'll love him even more than you love me now. That's how it has to be, that's how I want it. I want you to promise me that you'll love and marry when you wish. Don't hold back for me. Because I won't thank you for it.

He won't thank you for thanks, and he won't thank you for making him feel obligated (ép buộc) to you for noticing. He won't thank you for anything, in fact, and the best thanks you can give him is to stay far (tránh xa) from him and say nothing.

During the teen years, you may need to serenade (hát dạ khúc) your yung adult with a heartsong accompanied by (kèm theo) a voice of silence. Unless immune (miễn nhiễm) to mortification (mất thể diện), your teenager won't thank you for showing up at the pizza parlor or school game to sing. He'll thank you if you don't!

"Get away with you" nghĩa là gì?

"Get away with (someone or something)" = Chạy trốn với ai/điều gì, trốn tránh hậu quả. "Get away with you!" để diễn đạt sự ngạc nhiên, không tin nổi và cả sự ngờ vực.

Ví dụ
All I wanna do
Is get away with you
You had me at hello, what's up
What we gonna do when we leave this club

My heart still aches over the ending of How to get away with Murder. Advertisement. I have an insane collection of Beyonce's performances.

Not many athletes have the talent and clout (quyền lực không chính thức) to go by one name and get away with it. Cam can. Cam Newton can. How good was he at his peak? What is the best word to describe his 2015 MVP season?

"Thank your lucky stars" nghĩa là gì?

Biểu tượng của sự may mắn. Photo by Anna Shvets from Pexels

"Thank (one's) lucky stars" = cảm ơn ngôi sao may mắn -> biết ơn vì may mắn. Từ thời cổ đại, người ta cho rằng ngôi sao có ảnh hưởng mạnh mẽ đến sự sống và số phận của con người.

Ví dụ
We can thank our lucky stars that COVID-19 has a J-curve that leaves the young mostly untouched (không bị ảnh hưởng).

You thank your lucky stars. Not to be overly dramatic (kịch tính), because people have been through much worse, I’m sure. But I wouldn’t have survived another night. I’m convinced (tin) of that.

Denise should be thanking her lucky stars that the majority (đa số) was so clearly anti-Kim. Furthermore, Denise has an idol that she can use to protect herself if things are looking dire (tàn khốc).

Every time I hear about such things, I thank my lucky stars that I found my way into a career where I’m nigh unto (near to, gần với) immune (miễn khỏi) from such goings-on. As a radiologist (chuyên gia X quang), as long as I’m doing a decent volume of work at a certain level of quality, I’m probably not going to be hassled (rắc rối).

"Thank God it's Friday" (T.G.I.F) = ơn giời thứ sáu đây rồi -> mừng vì đến cuối tuần, không phải đi làm, được nghỉ ngơi chơi bời.

Ví dụ
Thank God it's Friday! Let's party!

It's not that time where we can actually say "Thank God It's Friday!" and the Coronavirus is to blame (đổ lỗi).

TGIF: Thank God It's we can put on sweats (mồ hôi) and continue working on making a permanent indent (chỗ lõm) on our couch as we stream the weekend away.

“Thank God it’s Friday.” That is what I told my family after a long and stressful (căng thẳng) week, but it took me only a few minutes to realize that I had promised an editor (biên tập viên) that I would send in my already-late review by Friday.

"Get along on" nghĩa là gì?

"Get along on (something)" = Có mối quan hệ tốt (với ai, với nhau) hoặc cải thiện được một tình huống (xấu).

Ví dụ
"We have a really good relationship, we get along really well, we're really good mates. It's important to have a good relationship off the field to get along on it."

“The government knows they are going into deficit spending, and it’s going to be tricky as a member of the EU, but they don’t care. They’re just going to do it,” said Worthen. “It’s rather astounding. We think of the factional political parties in Italy who don’t get along on anything, but they are all coming together and collaborating for the needs of the citizens.”

This may sound ridiculous, but as de Wit walked me through the numbers that morning, it felt like an epiphany (sự kiện Chúa Giêxu hiện ra, lễ hiển linh; sự thấu rõ). There was a unifying, exhilarating clarity to that wonky diagram (biểu đồ không đáng tin cậy), to the way it defined the task. Sure, it said, the threats we face are multifarious (phong phú, khác nhau) and overwhelming. Sure, they’re planetary in scale. But really, to get along on this Earth, we must do just one thing: Stop wasting so much of it. De Wit pointed to a thin arrow that circled back, from right to left, along the bottom of the diagram, representing all the material we’d managed to capture through recycling, composting, and so on. It was only 9.3 billion tons: just 9 percent of the total.

"Get ahold of" nghĩa là gì?

"Get ahold of (one)" = Kiểm soát, nắm giữ, điều khiển ai; có thể liên lạc hoặc trò chuyện được với ai.

Ví dụ
It's the weekend and I can't get ahold of my doctor? Call the emergency room first and inform them you are displaying COVID-19 symptoms.

Last Saturday 91-year-old John Derrick, Sr. was admitted to the ER at Health First’s Viera Hospital related to his chronic pneumonia (viêm phổi kinh niên). He was due to be discharged three days later, but for over a week now he’s been unable to return to his assisted living facility. The hold up: he couldn’t secure a negative COVID-19 test result. “Trying to get ahold of anyone is just like a black hole,” his 61-year-old son, John Derrick, Jr. told FLORIDA TODAY over the weekend.

“He kind of introduced me to them, and we started going metal-detecting together occasionally,” he said. “Then we decided we’d start a Facebook page and post our finds there.” Then, one year ago, the group was out at the Garfield County Fairgrounds when a golden, Texas Tech, Aggie class ring was discovered. The group decided to track down the owner and return it. “It took us about a month and a half to get ahold of the guy,” he said. “But we got ahold of him and returned it.”

"Get ahead of yourself" nghĩa là gì?

"Get ahead of yourself" = Nói trước về tương lai/phấn khích quá sớm về tương lai khi không biết rõ sau này như thế nào.

Ví dụ
Before you get ahead of yourself, remember that you're exactly where you're meant to be. You're in this moment because you're strong enough to tackle everything life is throwing your way. Let that fill you with enough confidence to push you forward.

Stay present. Don’t get ahead of yourself and indulge in thoughts like, “The world is coming to an end” or “I’m going to get the Coronavirus” or “My loved ones will get the Coronavirus.” Slow down those thoughts that project into the future in a negative way.

Parks must mean business because he reportedly turned down better offers than the $1.6 million he received from Eagles. He likes the prospect of being “all over the football field” in an attempt to fill a position that Jenkins came to define in his six seasons in Philadelphia. But he doesn’t want to get ahead of himself.

"Pipe away" nghĩa là gì?

Photo by Samuel Sianipar on Unsplash

"Pipe away" nghĩa là loại bỏ một ít khí hoặc chất lỏng (từ một cái gì đó hoặc một nơi nào đó) bằng cách sử dụng một hoặc nhiều đường ống.

Ví dụ
There is a some odour (mùi), depending on which part of the process you standing near, but thankfully most of the stench (mùi hôi thối) is piped away.

“You are asking to come to our community and put this farm in,” Brian Hodges said. “The energy is piped away to a different community and we don’t get much of an impact. When do we get something back?”

It burns fossil fuel (natural gas) with oxygen instead of air to generate electricity. It also avoids generating NOx, a contaminant (chất gây ô nhiễm) emitted from gas plants. This process can also burn gasified coal, producing CO2 and water. The CO2 is used to turn the turbine and then is recycled. Excess CO2 is piped away for sequestration or to be sold to vendors who use it for products like carbon fiber materials or carbon nanotubes. Nothing enters the atmosphere; the plant doesn’t have a stack.

"Lead-pipe cinch" có cinch nghĩa là điều chắc chắn -> cụm từ này nghĩa là một nhiệm vụ dễ dàng, điều dễ thực hiện.

Ví dụ
Has the Republican leadership in the Senate already violated the oath all senators will have to take once — if — they sit to try President Trump? We insert that “if” because, we confess, we reckon it’s no lead pipe cinch the House will vote for impeachment.

“I’m taking a chance that (Reed) knows what he’s talking about,” he said. “But it’s not a lead pipe cinch.” Cooperman’s comments to the Business Journal echoed his comments directly to Reed this week on an earnings call after New Media’s third-quarter financials were announced.

While the jump from a New Hampshire win to the White House is no longer a lead-pipe cinch, the state’s primary is still crucial when it comes to presidential politics. It can buoy (giữ vững tinh thần) a front-runner (người có triển vọng thành công), vault a rising star, or dash the hopes of a troubled campaign (often all three at once).

"Get above yourself" = Cho mình là trên hết, kiêu ngạo/tự cao tự đại

Ví dụ
“And the same applies to Scotland,” he added. “There’s that Scottish zeitgeist (hệ tư tưởng của thời đại) of – don’t get above yourself. Let’s look for all the reasons it won’t happen. There’s a lot of that in Scotland, but there’s a lot of aspiration too.

We’ve had some magical luck in this old game. We’ve done shows that have been very big and shows that have barely appeared before they were removed almost forcibly from the schedules by angry viewers. If you have somebody there with you, it’s amazing, because you don’t get above yourself in the good times and you don’t get below where you should be in the bad times.

She’s level-headed, laid-back and utterly at ease with herself, avoiding personal dramas to enjoy a normal, settled family life in north London. Having Justin by her side pretty much from day one must have helped. “That’s true. I probably don’t give him enough credit for that because he’s not the sort to ask for it. He’s happy to be that person in the background, supporting quietly. “But actually, I probably don’t appreciate how much he has made everything so smooth, always putting things into perspective, being practical and never letting me get above myself. “I just think we’ve been together so long, you don’t even think about all of that stuff. But he’s a good’un.”

“Get a room” = Lối nói châm biếm và hài hước để nhắc một cặp đôi không nên tình tứ/ân ái giữa nơi đông người mà nên đi thuê phòng riêng để tiếp tục hành sự.

Ví dụ
Dear Young, Hot, Rich Celebrities: Please Get a Room. After Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello plus Timothée Chalamet and Lily-Rose Depp, we've had enough. We cannot keep seeing you make out like gross horny animals.

CIRCULATED online during Valentine’s Day Friday were images of couples braving a long queue at a downtown hotel/motel. It wasn’t just the waiting that was daunting; it was the exposure at an open sidewalk, with amused onlookers watching them endure the line and publicize the urgent compulsion to get a room.

How much is too much? Public displays of affection on an airplane. Get a room, and I don't mean the bathroom, writes Dan Lake . Holiday's can be a romantic time. Couples could be going on their honeymoon, or their first trip overseas together, so, it's understandable that there'll be a few public displays of affection from time to time.

“Get a quart into a pint pot” nghĩa là gì?

“Get a quart into a pint pot” = (cố gắng) lấy thúng úp voi -> Cố gắng làm điều không thể, đặc biệt khi cố nhét nhiều thứ vào một thùng chứa/không gian quá nhỏ.

Ví dụ
He said: “I visited the library and was shocked and horrified by what I saw. “The council has tried to get a quart into a pint pot, there’s a total lack of space. “The computer section is right next to the books, and there’s not enough room for people to pass in the aisles. I have never seen anything so badly planned.

Dai Greene, Britain’s 2011 world 400m hurdles champion, tweeted: "There's no such thing as a boring event, it's how you present it to the public that's the problem." Greece’s Olympic and two-time Diamond League champion pole vaulter Katerina Stefanidi also tweeted about the need to improve the way events are televised, adding: "It is the number one complaint I hear from fans after every Diamond League and IAAF Championship. Maybe we should look into this." Certainly the complaints regarding field events are familiar; they often appear to pepper (rắc thêm) the main action rather than being it. But once again we are talking about trying to get a quart into a pint pot.

In my last piece, I wrote about the importance of a Nigerian Revolution as the panacea (thuốc bách bệnh; thuốc chữa mọi bệnh tật) to our nearly fifty-nine years sojourn (tạm trú) in the doldrums (trạng thái buồn nản, trạng thái chán nản). It may seem like an attempt to get a quart into a pint pot, but I dare say nothing can stop an idea whose time has come. The conspiracy (âm mưu) against Nigeria’s progress is simply elitist (người quý tộc, tinh hoa), and the solution to Nigeria’s problems lies with the masses. Both in recorded and contemporary history, we have seen that when leaders fail to deliver on their mandate, as has been the case in Nigeria since the first republic, a radical expression of the people’s disaffection through civil disobedience and other means possible becomes inevitable.

“Get a gift of” = Có món quà -> Đòi hỏi/yêu cầu cái mà mình muốn, phải có bằng được nhất là ma túy.

Ví dụ
“If the next generation will prefer to get a gift of an iPhone instead, or some shoes, the pigeons probably won't be too bothered.”

“It’s great to get a gift of this size,” said Hindes, who just passed her fourth anniversary with the center. “It’s really good for us to know we’ll get a predictable amount each year.”

Alex Poulos is a 22-year-old student at University of Detroit Mercy who is now in the business of selling T-shirts that come with a gift of marijuana (cần sa). His company is called CannaMich . It's an online business that sells T-shirts priced from $80 to $340. Buyers then get a gift of marijuana that comes in flower form or vaping cartridges (vỏ đựng). He started the business on December 6, after recreational marijuana became legal in Michigan, but it's still not allowed to be sold yet.
