"Shit rainbows" nghĩa là gì?

"Shit rainbows" = ị ra cầu vồng -> nghĩa là người luôn luôn vui vẻ, luôn truyền cảm hứng ngay cả trong các tình huống bi kịch.

Ví dụ
At the end of the episode, Billy and Julie decide that everything is garbage. And this is true, in their world. But it is not true, in ours, for we have Difficult People, which is what happens when otherworldly (thế giới bên kia) unicorn people shit rainbows of truth into Final Draft and then act it out in front of cameras and put it on a streaming television service to share Truth and Light with the world.

I know, I know only Hippie libs shit Rainbows. Let a Capitalist Cowboy or logger put a pond in and all sorts of bad things can happen, might dig up (đào lên) or drown a spotted frog or Owl. I say no water for the devils lettuce or the lettuce farmers.

Some days you don't wear pants, some days you shit rainbows. It varies.

"Open a can of whoop-ass" nghĩa là gì?

"Open a can of whoop-ass" = mở lon tét đít -> nghĩa đánh, trừng phạt ai.

Ví dụ
Open a can of whoop ass on challenging 2D action levels, enemies, and bosses with their own back stories!

There are many crazy action sequences in Nobody where Bob Odenkirk gets the opportunity to open a can of whoop-ass, but the best in the movie is a fight that takes place on a public bus, and the actor directly referenced (liên hệ) it in our conversation.

There was a certain female archetype (nguyên mẫu) that imprinted on me, that the women weren't always the pretty love interest -- they were the villain or the old matriarch (nữ chúa), but they all could open a can of whoop-ass at will.

Naturally ... we had to ask some questions about Oscar's big boxing comeback ... and Atiana is 100% confident her dad will open a can of Whoop Ass when he gets back in the ring (vòng đấu).

“We’ll see how that goes. He’s a big, strong powerful guy that likes to rough (trêu tức) people up. Ben was a guy that we really wanted,” Harbaugh said. “I was kind of being a little bit of a nervous Nellie. I kind of wanted us to trade up.”

Up-and-coming mare (ngựa cái) Salina Dreaming will be on trial for stakes racing when she lines up at Randwick. As a younger horse, Salina Dreaming was a nervous Nellie but thankfully for her exasperated (khích lệ) trainer Angela Davies, with age has come maturity.

It helps me cope because through all the tragedies (bi kịch) in my life, I tend to get nervous Nellie. This keeps me occupied. I’ll come out here and organize and situate and check expiration dates. It takes away from me just sitting and having nervous energy to helping others.

Sky News host Chris Smith says there are “nervous Nellie” premiers (người đứng đầu) demanding quarantine be “banished to the bush”. He said this is the case “because of leakage into the community” in some of the country’s major cities in recent months.

"Nearer the church, the farther from God" = Càng gần nhà thờ, càng xa Chúa -> nghĩa là ám chỉ càng là người có chức vị càng không sùng đạo, và thậm chí trở nên suy đồi, bại hoại đạo đức.

Ví dụ
Well, people often joke about being nearer to church and farther from God. But let's, for a moment, imagine a minister of religion, in charge of a large congregation, who is unaware of Easter or when it comes. Hapless (không may), Heaven help him!

Our politicians, statesmen, religious leaders, vendors, street dwellers (cư dân) and everyone in-between claim to belong to one church or group of belief systems, yet here we are as a people in this place and at this time in our history. Another well-known proverb is “Nearer the church, further from God.” Yet again, if these words do not float in and out of your mind in our current situation, you too may be a robot of your particular tribal group identification.

She, at one time, resided in the chapel house; but the adage (ngạn ngữ), Nearest the church, farthest from God, was not appropriate in her cane; for, in those days she not only attended the chapel (nhà thờ nhỏ) when scarcely able; but when unable to do so, she would stand near the chapel door and listen with the utmost devoutness (tận tâm) and eagerness (say mê) to the proceedings within, observing, "I've heard many a good sermon (bài thuyết giáo) while standing listening outside."

However, Koh added, "At such times we can assume (cho rằng) both Beijing and Washington have no stomach for a fight, despite the military posturing and counter posturing, and they’ll seek to keep these activities from hitting the conflict threshold."

Immediately accused of unnecessary fear-mongering, it is more likely that Mr Dutton was simply alerting the Australian public, and the Chinese military, that in his new role he intends to guarantee (bảo đảm) Australia’s security by building up not only our military strength but also our mental resilience (kiên cường) by declaring our willingness to fight to those who may have been lulled into thinking we have no stomach for it.

Having lived through an age in which scoundrels (côn đồ) and bigots (người tin mù quáng) argued that AIDS was divine (thần thánh) retribution (trừng phạt), I have no stomach for attaching moral sentiments to this illness. I may be angry at incompetent political leadership, but when I see people gathered without masks in restaurants or bars, or in pools or at the beach, it is easier just to be fatalistic.

"All of us, and the oil market, have no stomach for any type of laxities (lỏng lẻo) in terms of self-imposed cuts that need to be attended to," he added. OPEC and non-OPEC countries agreed Saturday to extend their agreement to curb oil production by a total of 9.7 million bpd for one more month until the end of July.
