"Write Off" nghĩa là gì?

Người Mỹ dùng 'write off' khi họ muốn bỏ đi một điều gì, coi đó là một thất bại, vô dụng.
Ví dụ
“I expected Hawaii to be sunny, perfect for swimming, surfing and other outdoor activities. Nothing prepared me for the constant rain I faced after arriving there. I ended up sitting in my hotel room until the sky finally cleared. What a waste of time! All I could do was write off (coi như bỏ đi) those first couple days of my vacation.”
