"Leave someone holding the bag" nghĩa là gì?

'Leave someone holding the bag' (shared via VOA) có từ leave là rời bỏ hay để lại, to hold là cầm hay nắm trong tay, và bag là cái bao, cái túi. Leave someone holding the bag nghĩa đen là để cho một người nào đó phải cầm cái túi, tức là bỏ rơi người đó để họ phải chịu trách nhiệm cho những gì đã xảy ra.
