'Break the mould' có từ mould là khuôn, cụm từ này nghĩa là làm điều gì đó khác với những gì đã được thực hiện theo cùng một cách từ trước đến nay (to do something differently after it has been done in the same way for a long time); phá vỡ khuôn phép.
