'One man's meat is another man's poison' (= thức ăn của người này là thuốc độc của người khác) -> nghĩa là cái sướng cho người này là cái khổ cho người khác (things liked or enjoyed by one person may be distasteful to another).

Ví dụ
Whereas the Government would like to achieve its Vision 2030, it is imperative to be cognisant of the fact that one man’s meat is another man’s poison.

This is somewhat subjective, in that one man’s meat is another man’s poison, but my rule of thumb here is when buying something for resale, make sure that I have a use for it should it not get bought. There’s no use getting a bunch of Note 7 covers, that if you fail to sell, you now have no use for it because you don’t have a Note 7 yourself.

The adage “One man’s meat is another man’s poison” probably could not find a better application to the various crazy sexual customs and traditions from around the world.Even for western society’s liberal standards, where the number of sexual identity genders is rising faster than lightning, or the right to marry animals is being accepted in some countries, some of these practices would seem over the edge!
