"From the horse's mouth" nghĩa là gì?

'From the horse's mouth' (từ miệng con ngựa) nghĩa là theo một nguồn tin đáng tin cậy (from the person directly concerned or another authoritative source). Cụm từ này xuất phát từ nguồn gốc: những người thông thạo/tin tưởng nhất để biết/hiểu về phong độ (form) của một con ngựa (vd, trước 1 cuộc đua) là người coi ngựa, huấn luyện viên... cụm từ này tiến thêm 1 bước, là thông tin còn đáng tin cậy hơn nữa so với 'inner circle' đó, tức là từ chính con ngựa.
