'If wishes were horses, then beggars would ride' = nếu những mong ước là ngựa, thì thằng ăn mày cũng sẽ cưỡi -> nghĩa là người ta thường có nhiều mong ước, nhưng chỉ ước thì chẳng có nghĩa lý gì (people make a lot of wishes, but wishing is useless).

Hoá ra ông ăn xin là cảnh sát nằm vùng. Thế mà ngày nào mình đi chợ cũng cho mấy đồng lẻ, chẳng lẽ lại quay ra đòi. Đúng là đen..!!
