"Not even a dog's chance" nghĩa là gì?

'Not even a dog's chance' nghĩa là không có chút may mắn nào (To have a very slim chance. This phrase is to describe something that is unlikely to happen).

By sheer coincidence, I was on popular stand-up comic artist Sorabh Pant's #TheRant show last week. There was not a dog's chance that the BJP would attend. Pant did the usual fun stuff with professional panache (thói kiểu cách, phô trương, huênh hoang, điệu bộ), but it was great fun interacting with the youth of India in an unrestrained, flippant (khiếm nhã, suồng sã, chớt nhã), frivolous (phù phiếm, bông lông) chat show, but which addressed core political issues with equal gravitas.

Intellectual freedom depends on material things. Poetry depends on intellectual freedom. And women have always been poor, not for two hundred years merely, but from the beginning of time. Women have had less intellectual freedom than the sons of Athenian slaves. Women, then, have not had a dog’s chance of writing poetry. That is why I have laid so much stress on money and a room of one’s own.
