"On tap" nghĩa là gì?

Tap có nghĩa là vòi nước hay nước chảy ra từ vòi vào bồn, bể. Thành ngữ 'on tap' (shared via VOA) mang nghĩa là có sẵn để có thể dùng được ngay, giống như nước trong vòi chảy ra.
Ví dụ
“When members of our church suggested holding an amateur talent show to raise money for charity, many of us were skeptical. But we were soon overwhelmed by all the people who volunteered (ồ ạt đăng kí tham gia), from singers to musicians, to magicians...Looking at all the performers we now have on tap (sẵn sàng làm việc), we could put on two shows!”
“When my sister’s town was threatened by a flooding river, I was impressed by all the residents who came out to fill and pile sandbags. In the end, there was no shortage of help on tap (không thiếu người sẵn sàng trợ giúp). As a result of all the citizens who kept working, the community was spared major devastation.”
