"Wet behind the ears" nghĩa là gì?

'Wet behind the ears' có một từ mới là ear nghĩa là cái tai. Người Mỹ dùng wet behind the ears, tức là ướt ở đằng sau tai, để chỉ một người còn non nớt, chưa có kinh nghiệm. Thành ngữ này xuất xứ từ đầu thế kỷ thứ 20, khi những con ngựa hay bò mới sinh ra tại các nông trại đều còn ướt, và các nhà nông phải lau khô cả người, nhất là phía sau tai của chúng.
Ví dụ
Even though Monica is our youngest office manager (quản lý), she’s anything but wet behind the ears. On the contrary, she came to the company with more experience (kinh nghiệm) managing people and resources than anyone else we’ve hired (thu dụng).
