'Comedy of manners' nghĩa là hài kịch châm biếm xã hội, nhất là tầng lớp trên (comedy that satirizes behavior in a particular social group, especially the upper classes).

Ví dụ
It's 1925, and Coward's fast-paced comedy of manners challenges social codes of the time and exposes the foibles (nhược điểm, điểm yếu) of the British upper class.

It has farcical (khôi hài, hài hước, lố bịch, nực cười) moments, but it's more of a comedy of manners, and there's no nastiness (tục tĩu, xấu xa ô trọc).

The whole thing would be comedy of manners (central banker manners) if it weren’t so important for the course of lending, including real estate lending.
