"Skin popping" nghĩa là gì?

'Skin popping' nghĩa là việc chích ma túy dưới da (skin popping is any of several routes of administration whereby street drugs are injected or deposited under the skin. It is usually a depot injection, either subcutaneous or intradermal, although the term is rarely (and inaccurately) applied to intramuscular injection).

Heroin is an opioid (thuốc có gốc thuốc phiện) drug that relieves pain and slows body functioning. It is a partial synthetic that combines morphine and diacetyl acid. It can look like a white or brown powder, or black tar. Users snort, smoke, or inject the drug just under the skin (popping or chipping), or into a muscle.
We heard tales of gangsters and prostitutes (điếm, đĩ) and skin-popping morphine addicts, and the streets seemed once again alive with the characters Sante so vividly described.
