"Oil field trash" nghĩa là gì?

'Oil field trash' có từ trash = rác rưởi, đồ vô giá trị -> cụm từ này nghĩa là công nhân giàn khoan, đôi khi hàm ý miệt thị (A typically blue-collar worker who is employed in the extraction or production of petroleum).

Some locals blame the workers for bad traffic and high prices, and the pejorative expression “oil field trash” still is heard.
Gas prices will still slowly go up when school lets out, these so called oil boom employee reductions have been happening for a while now and will continue until the presidential election is over and possibly not come back after elections. Oh by the way anyone noticed the crime rated has increased since these employee reductions? Couldn't be the oil field trash syndrome...
Kennedy describes himself as "third generation oil field trash." His father was a wildcat oil driller, living in a world right out of "There Will Be Blood." Life for Kennedy's father was transient, hard, sometimes cruel, potentially bloody and exciting.
