It's done. APEC is over (25th – 29 th Sept 2006). Now, gone are the tiring days of materials preparation, of working from dawn to dusk and no more working in weekends. Everything will be back to it's normal orbit like before the event. Image
It's wonderful that there's almost no grave blemish, except for trivial defects like name plate which is so small and in blur color that Mr Chair cannot look clearly or lunch for retreat session when some delegations take whole participation (in principle, only for 1 HOD plus 1 staff) or the wrong moment of Vietnam Head of Delegation's speech (Vice Minister Doan) (because of wrong agenda and no one prompt him of that change). Image In general, these errors are not too fatal in comparison with those of other conferences which caused adverse effects to political and diplomatic relations and were reiterated by Mr Sanh Chau from Ministry of Foreign Affairs in training courses in preparation for APEC. After Gala Dinner on 28th Sept, Minister Phuc even praised for well organization, that's what every staff in ASMED looking for. Now, what people expect more maybe a far journey to some famous tourist sites near the beach for revitalization. Image
Through APEC, everybody seems to be close to each other. Although everyone inundated with lots of work, Organizing Committee's room always crowded with people going in and out hurrily, walkie-talkie always beep for coordinating volunteers... but there's still refreshing time at lunch and dinner when everybody shared jokes and laughed together, which mitigated fatigue.
Confidently speaking, have to host another APEC Meeting can ASMED organize well and professionally. Image
