"Throw caution to the wind" nghĩa là gì?

'Throw caution to the wind' có hai từ mới. Một là to throw nghĩa là ném, hay vứt bỏ, và hai là caution là sự thận trọng. Vì thế throw caution to the wind có nghĩa là không thận trọng khi hành động, liều lĩnh làm một điều gì.
Ví dụ:
Everyone in my family is rather cautious, except my nephew. What a risk-taker (quả là một người thích trò nguy hiểm)! Ever since he was a boy, he’s thrown caution to the wind (tỏ ra liều lĩnh). That’s why no one was surprised when he hurt his leg in a skateboard competition (cuộc tranh tài trượt ván).
As a cop (trên cương vị một cảnh sát viên), I have little tolerance (không dung thứ) for drivers who act recklessly (ẩu tả, khinh suất) on the road. Once you are behind the wheel of a car, you shouldn’t be throwing caution to the wind. Buckle (thắt) your seatbelt (dây an toàn), observe (tuân thủ) the speed limit and follow the rules of the road !
