"Hide one’s head in the sand" nghĩa là gì?

'Hide one’s head in the sand' hay bury one’s head in the sand nghĩa là dấu đầu xuống cát, tức là không nhìn nhận sự thật bằng cách giả vờ không nhìn thấy.
Ví dụ
I've been watching her straining (cố sức) to read any thing that's close to her face for months. Anh I've tried to convince her that she needs to go to an eye doctor to get glassses (kính đeo mắt), but she doesn't listen. Maybe she doesn't want to admit that she's getting old. For now, she prefers to hide her face in the sand (tránh nhìn sự thật).
Any political party that ignores (phớt lờ) the concerns of the non-white population in the U.S. will have a problem. That's because by 2024 it will become the majority (khối đa số). It's a change that's already occurred in cities like Los Angeles. Politicians that have hidden their heads in the sand until now had better face reality (đối diện với thực tế). Or they will lose elections before long.
