My son Peter has been extremely active (rất hăng say) at his high school. He’s the editor of the school newspaper, co-captain (đội trưởng) of the wrestling (đấu vật) team, and a member of the math club and the debate team (hội tranh luận). It’s no wonder that he comes home exhausted (mệt nhoài). He’s spreading himself too thin. He has to stop trying to do so many things at the same time!

We’ve watched other companies merge (liên doanh với nhau) and get bigger and bigger. Although they have more resources (nhiều vốn liếng), they also tend to get involved in more projects (dự án) than they should. As a result, they lose their ability to stay competitive. That’s why our firm is going to stay small. We prefer not to spread ourselves too thin.
