"Take as gospel" nghĩa là gì?

'Take as gospel' có một từ mới là gospel nghĩa là sách Phúc Âm trong Kinh Tân Ước. Thành ngữ này ngày nay được dùng để chỉ điều gì được coi là sự thực đáng tin.
Ví dụ
My mom has often warned (dặn dò) me not to go outside with wet hair. She says I’ll catch a cold, but I’ve never taken it as gospel. Frankly, I don’t believe it’s true, like a lot of common advice (lời khuyên thông thường) mothers like to give.
Apparently educators are concerned that students have access (cơ hội tiếp cận) to technology but don’t know how to use it, because many of them take as gospel what they find on-line. But this information should not always be believed. It may be an advertisement and not a quality (có giá trị) source.
