Together they connive (đồng lõa) in cahoots and scheme to create the world's worst musical, a guaranteed catastrophic dog of a show.
With their regular penchant for not only making political mischief, they now appear to be in cahoots together by dispatching letters which do not appear to make any rational sense.

What a surprise (hết sức ngạc nhiên) when I arrived at the restaurant (tiệm ăn) and all my friends and family were there to celebrate (ăn mừng) my 30th birthday! Apparently they had all been in cahoots for weeks, working together on this event (buổi tiệc) without my ever suspecting (nghi ngờ).

Spectators (khán giả) couldn’t understand why one gymnast (vận động viên thể dục) kept getting the highest scores. It turns out his coach (huấn luyện viên) and the judges (giám khảo) were in cahoots (cấu kết). As a result of their conspiracy (thông đồng), they were all disqualified!
