"Like a beached whale" nghĩa là gì?

'Like a beached whale' (như con cá voi trên cạn/mắc cạn) được dùng để ám chỉ ai đó quá béo (potentially offensive: of a person, exceptionally large or obese); và nghĩa khác là hoàn toàn bế tắc, không thể di chuyển hay thoát khỏi một tình huống nào đó, thường nói về đồ vật hay phương tiện lớn/cồng kềnh (completely stuck and unable to move or escape from the situation. Said especially of large objects or vehicles).
