'Wild horses couldn't drag me' = ngựa hoang cũng không thể kéo được tôi, xuất phát từ tích xưa thời Trung Cổ, dùng các con ngựa kéo căng tù nhân theo nhiều hướng để tra tấn, để moi lời khai (referring to the medieval torture of using horses to stretch a prisoner and thereby force a confession); (gần tới mức xử tử "tứ mã phanh thây" nhỉ) -> nghĩa bóng là không gì thuyết phục/dụ dỗ được tôi (nothing could induce or persuade me).

I cannot fathom what the trajectory of Sendak's career would have been had he successfully done the equine project. I doubt there would be much reason to celebrate the 50th anniversary of that original premise. If there were, well, I suspect that wild horses couldn’t drag me to that exhibit, but this one ... I'll eat it up I'll love it so.
