"Put your trousers on one leg at a time" nghĩa là gì?

'Put one's trousers on one leg at a time' (just like everybody else) = mặc quần từng ống một (như những người khác) -> nghĩa là (sống) như một người bình thường (to be an ordinary human being; to go through life like everyone else, thường nói về người mẫu, ngôi sao bóng đá, thành viên hoàng gia).

Ví dụ
He (Barack Obama) was amazing and my mum beforehand – because I was nervous before going out – she just said, “Remember everybody puts their trousers on one leg at a time, even the President. He’s going to be a normal guy”

There is protocol to address before issuing a new mouse. Is the mouse properly connected to the computer? Is the mouse on a fancy wood grained desk pattern not allowing the light to properly sense position? Has the computer been rebooted? Most of the time, the mouse issue can be resolved by following those troubleshooting steps. No need to stop a technician from what they're doing and force them to run up four flights of stairs and hand deliver a mouse. "But Ant, this is the CEO of the company who needs a new mouse." In that case, you might escalate the incident because of the corporate hierarchy. Yeah, I know that the CEO is just another human who puts their trousers on one leg at a time like the rest of us. But there comes an inherent amount of respect for the company's fearless leader that says, "We better keep the CEO happy."
