The days are numbered for a huge blue penis which set tongues wagging (chuyện ngồi lê đôi mách, tin đồn) in Sweden this week.
The penis, complete with bulging (phồng lên) veins (sơn già vân), appeared on the side of a Stockholm apartment block on Wednesday to the shock of residents.
Artist Carolina Falkholt painted the blue penis after being commissioned (đặt làm, đặt mua) by Kollektivet Livet and Atrium Ljungberg. Her first penis mural only lasted days in New York.
Camilla Klint, Atrium Ljungberg’s marketing head, said: ‘Of course we care about artistic freedom (tự do nghệ thuật), but at the same time we must respect (tôn trọng) the opinion (ý kiến) of our closest neighbours (cư dân, hàng xóm). ‘By letting it remain for a short period, we are offering anyone who’s interested a chance to experience the work.’
