"Look on the bright side" nghĩa là gì?

'Look on the bright side' = nhìn ở phía tươi sáng hơn -> nghĩa là nhìn ở khía cạnh/góc độ tích cực/lạc quan hơn (refer to the good part of something that is mostly bad).

Ví dụ
McIlroy looks on the bright side ahead of British Open.

Sam Hinton's illustrations of happy characters look on the bright side of life.

B.C.'s solar industry is looking on the bright side despite recent regulatory changes designed to scale back growing surpluses of consumer-produced power.

“If people aren’t choosing clothes primarily to appear smaller, I think that’s really politically important. It says: ‘I’m here and I’m not ashamed.’ It’s very non-apologetic.” And that’s an argument that I can buy into. After all, we may as well look on the bright side.

Take nothing on its looks; take everything on evidence. There's no better rule.
~ Charles Dickens

Với bất kỳ sự vật/hiện tượng nào, đừng nhìn vào vẻ bề ngoài; chỉ tin vào bằng chứng. Không có quy tắc nào tốt hơn.

The Greek island of Santorini is known for its stunning views, steeps hills, and tradition of using donkeys as the main form of transportation. While most tourists love traveling the island on a donkey, activists are now saying visitors from the U.S. and Europe are too fat to sit on the animals.

...“Locals have even started breeding their donkeys with stronger mules so it is easier for them to carry fatter tourists,”

“It’s recommended that animals should carry no more than 20 percent of their own body weight,” a spokesman for Help the Santorini Donkeys told the Daily Mail. “The obese and overweight tourists, combined with the lack of shade and water as well as the sheer heat and 568 cobbled steps, is what is causing such a problem.”
