"Collect my thoughts" nghĩa là gì?

'Collect one's thoughts' nghĩa là (tạm) dừng lại suy nghĩ/ngẫm trước khi nói hay hành động; giống 'đừng có cuống lên, để tao nghĩ đã...' các mem nhỉ :)
Ví dụ
The ability to tell a story well: The leader should engage (giành được) their audience by being passionate (nồng nhiệt) and truthful (thành thật). They should not ever scold (chỉ trích) a reporter for asking hard questions, nor tell journalists not to talk about specific issues (vấn đề cụ thể). If they are thrown an unexpected (bất ngờ) question, they don’t have to answer right away. They should take the time to collect their thought before answering. Silent pauses are fine - they show that a person is thinking, considering and is careful and precise (thận trọng). But “ummms” should avoided at all costs.
"It took me a few seconds to collect my thoughts, like, 'Could this be a bomb (quả bom)? Could this be something that spills (tràn) on me?'" Martin said.
He said he’s never really caught any significant fish in the lake, but still likes to go there to relax and collect his thoughts.
