"Don't put all your eggs in one basket" nghĩa là gì?

"Don't put all your eggs in one basket" = đừng bỏ tất cả trứng vào 1 rổ, tức hãy chia đều những nguy cơ ra nhiều nơi để giảm rủi ro. Cụm từ này thường được dùng trong lĩnh vực tài chính, khuyên mọi người nên đầu tư vào nhiều nơi, không nên tập trung một chỗ.
Ví dụ
I'm applying for several jobs because I don't really want to put all my eggs in one basket.
Mr Tan’s financial (tài chính) adviser (cố vấn) urged (thuyết phục) him to be careful and not put all his eggs in one basket by investing (đầu tư) all his money on stocks (cổ phiếu).
And lastly, have contingency (bất trắc) plans. Given the merger (sáp nhập) and acquisition (thu nhận) activity in the industry, make sure you have a plan should the vendor (người bán) or software company you are using be acquired (có thể tìm được). Don’t put all your eggs in one basket, or at least have a backup plan if your favorite vendor suddenly (bất ngờ) no longer exists (tồn tại).
