"Spin a yarn" nghĩa là gì?

"Spin (somebody) a yarn" = thêu dệt -> nghĩa là kể chuyện huyên thuyên, kể chuyện bịa. Cụm từ này xuất phát là thuật ngữ về hải lý ở đầu thế kỷ 19. "Yarn" có hai nghĩa, vừa chỉ sợi dây, vừa có nghĩa là một câu chuyện.
