"Sweat the small stuff" có từ "sweat" chỉ tình trạng rất lo lắng. Nếu ai đó nói với bạn "don't sweat the small stuff" có nghĩa là bạn đừng nên lo lắng/ cáu gắt vì những chuyện nhỏ nhặt.

Ví dụ
When I asked her what she has learned in her first five decades of life, she said that she’s still learning not to sweat the small stuff and to do more observing before doing snap talking.

Perhaps the most important thing when flying with children is not to sweat the small stuff. Getting on a plane is rarely anyone’s favourite part of a holiday, so simply tolerating the bored fidgeting (khó chịu) from young kids and low-level hostility (chống đối) from teenagers is perhaps the best way to get through it.

When I’m stressed, anxiety, anxious that’s when the skin flares up (tồi tệ hơn) but i’ve kind of learned to control that and not sweat the small stuff that happens. Because you know the older you get, I’m 31 now, and in the last couple of years a close friend of mine passed away and it is kind of like what’s the point in worrying about silly stuff. Life is too short to be stressing about nothing.

This idea of starting with small things and taking small steps if you want to achieve big and radical (đáng kể) results is called the Kaizen method and has been implemented (áp dụng) with great success in particularly the Japanese business sector for decades. Like the "broken window theory", the basic principal underpinning (nền móng) the Kaizen method is if you want big change, you need to "sweat the small stuff".
