"A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down" = một thìa đường sẽ giúp nuốt trôi thuốc đắng -> ý muốn nói một tin tốt đẹp hay một việc tốt sẽ giúp việc chấp nhận một tin xấu hay một sự việc bất lợi trở nên dễ dàng hơn.
