About Rod with a Twist:“Rod with a Twist” is a boozy woozy doozy of a video series with actors, jocks and local celebs bellying up to the bar with bon vivant Rod and master mixologist Nick for irreverent interviews. It’s a lil’ freaky (quái đản) and a lotta funky (hôi hám) with conversational twists and turns that dance right up to the edge…and then joyfully right over it. Too far? Probably. But after a few of Nick’s drinks, does it look like Rod cares?

On ‘Different Now’, the lyrics are sardonic (mỉa mai, nháo báng) fortune cookies - “You'll find in time all the answers that you seek have been sitting there waiting to be seen” - as if we are kept here, in limbo, by the promise of a good life (‘living our best life’) just beyond reach. And when it gets too much they use boredom as anaesthetic (gây mê), plunging further into boozy woozy vulnerable posturing. It’s like Emily Rapp wrote: “My life is over. My life is just beginning. I feel like a two thousand year old teenager.”

Indeed, wacky (lập dị) and wonderful (if not necessarily original) tile (lợp, lát) work abounds throughout in the updated mullet-style residence — it’s single story in the front and three stories at the back — including in the front entrance hall where boldly jewel-toned (tông màu ngọc đá quý) starburst pattern (mẫu vẽ, họa tiết) floor tiles make a boozy-woozy old coot like Your Mama feel dizzy (chóng mặt, choáng váng) with decorative delight.
