"Dance attendance on" nghĩa là gì?

"Dance attendance on/upon someone" có nghĩa là nghe lời hoặc làm hài lòng ai đó một cách ngoan ngoãn, khúm núm. Xuất phát từ phong tục xưa, khi cô dâu phải khiêu vũ với các vị khách trong tiệc cưới dù muốn hay không. Cụm từ này cũng có nghĩa phải chờ đợi ai lâu.
Ví dụ
