"Draw my fire" nghĩa là gì?

"Draw (someone's) fire" = Thu hút sự bùng cháy của ai, gây ra sự chỉ trích -> Làm cho ai đó trút hết sự tức giận, sự chỉ trích và sự phán xét vào mình để người khác/người quan trọng không phải gánh chịu. Nghe có vẻ hơi giống tự bản thân muốn làm bia đỡ đạn cho người khác ấy.

Ví dụ
The Hunt appeared to draw fire from Donald Trump, who told reporters on the White House lawn on Friday (9) that Hollywood’s films were “actually very dangerous for our country.” He did not mention The Hunt or any other film by name.

But I think it’s more about their class identity. In short, people love pet classes. There’s just something gratifying (làm phấn khích) about buffing (đánh bóng) up loyal animals or summons (triệu tập) and sending them out to kill for you while you kill in the background without drawing any fire yourself. FL4K’s skill tree seems to indicate he’ll play exactly like that, which sounds fantastic.

And Taleb’s name-calling can’t be taken in isolation as an indicator of character. By all accounts he is personable in other venues—friendly, generous, even humble. He says he finds Twitter combat fun, and one senses the belligerent (người tham chiến) social-media persona is consciously cultivated, a way for him to draw attention and put his authority in the service of society. In any case, he doesn’t punch down. By that standard, Lehmann should be flattered that he found her influential enough to draw fire.
