"Enjoy a slap-up meal" nghĩa là gì?

"Enjoy a slap-up meal" = thưởng thức một bữa ăn tát. Cụm từ này thực ra có nghĩa là thưởng thức bữa ăn đặc biệt ngon. "Slap-up meal" xuất phát từ thời Charles Dickens (những năm 1800). Tại một số quán ăn nhỏ thời đó, thực khách trả tiền bữa ăn bằng cách đập mạnh tờ tiền xuống bàn, nên ban đầu được gọi là "slap-bang".
