"Hold your feet to fire" nghĩa là gì?

"Hold (one's) feet to fire" = dí chân (ai) vào lửa -> nghĩa là gây áp lực để khiến người ta phải khai thông tin, phải làm việc, phải chấp nhận.

The pressure applied to celebrities and those in the public eye from hordes of regular folks and activists is vastly important in articulating what actions will and won’t be accepted by society anymore. Every time someone becomes a trending topic (chủ đề) for hate speech and intolerance (không khoan dung), it’s a reminder that there will always be people among us who will hold your feet to the fire if you say something that could threaten our lives.
