"See the elephant" nghĩa là gì?

"See the elephant" = thấy con voi -> nghĩa là có được kinh nghiệm sống thực tế đáng giá, dù tích cực hay tiêu cực. ngoài ra còn có nghĩa là kinh nghiệm chiến đấu trong quân ngũ.
Ví dụ
So, why do managers (quản lý), leaders (lãnh đạo) and colleagues (đồng nghiệp) keep ignoring (lờ đi) them? Why do they pretend (giả vờ) to not see the elephant standing right in front of them until a coworker or major project gets trampled (dẫm đạp)?
It is time that the health care organizations (tổ chức) see the elephant in the room: staff hate mandatory training (đào tạo bắt buộc) and it will only become an effective (hiệu quả) way of learning if the modules (tiêu chuẩn) are kept short, simple and relevant (thích hợp) to staff.
Acknowledge (công nhận) with the team that they all see the “elephant.” This is a big deal because there may be others in your team who are not quite ready to see or acknowledge what might be so obvious (rõ ràng) to you. You may have to help your colleagues see what has been standing before them in plain view for so long.
