"With our tails up" nghĩa là gì?

"With/have one's tail up" = vẫy/ngoe nguẩy đuôi -> nghĩa là thái độ vui vẻ, lạc quan và tự tin khi nói về kết quả một việc/sự kiện gì.

Ví dụ
“We’re going there with our tails up with nothing to fear, we don’t fear anyone in the league and we’ll take the game to them".

Leicester have been so erratic (không vững) one week they are good the next they are shite (dở tệ)! We are still on the up so hopefully we will still have our tails up. I fancy (mong muốn) 3 – 0.

Capable of repeatedly hitting the 140kph mark, Saini’s pace (nhịp độ) was on display during the semi-final against Bengal. Of his four scalps at the MCA Ground, Saini values the wicket of Tiwary the most. “He has played international cricket. I was in a good spell yesterday, and that one wicket gives me immense pleasure. It’s what you play for, dismissals (đánh bóng criket) like that. I had been bowling a good channel to the Bengal batsmen, and when you have your tail up like that, you know something special is around the corner. Luckily with him, I got the one special delivery.”
