"Beat swords into ploughshares" = lấy gươm rèn lưỡi cày -> cụm từ này nghĩa là chấm dứt những hoạt động phá hủy (như chiến tranh, bạo lực) và chuyển sang những hoạt động mang tính chất hòa bình, tạo dựng (chẳng hạn như phát triển nông nghiệp, sử dụng nguồn lực và công nghệ để cải thiện chất lượng đời sống nhân dân).
