"Fools build houses and wise men live in them" là cách nói rút ngắn của "fools build and wise men buy" (tục ngữ của người Anh) = kẻ ngu xây nhà và người khôn chỉ việc sống trong nó (đi thuê, mua) -> xây nhà rất tốn kém và chỉ người ngu mới làm vậy.
