'Pass by on the other side' = đi ngang qua (nhưng) ở phía bên kia (đường) -> nghĩa là lờ đi hoặc tránh ai đó khi họ đang cần giúp đỡ.

Ví dụ
I beg (khẩn khoản, van nài) you; I urge (thú giục) you—do not pass by on the other side. You may realise that the migrant (di cư) we fear today may become our neighbour tomorrow.

“What is commonly designated as the Negro problem is really a white problem. Will we whites continue to pass by on the other side and deny or evade (tránh khỏi, lảng tránh) the problem?”

I was wondering if I would ever see it addressed or if it would remain the issue to lay a carpet over in the long term and then just REACT when problems occur, rather than advise and mitigate (giảm bớt) the risks. It's so easy to avoid eyes in corridors, to park a difficult issue, or pass by on the other side of the road but that level of management of an issue will get us where we deserve ....NO WHERE!, and this is too important not to tackle NOW.

Tell me, do you pass by on the other side when it comes to evangelism (truyền bá)? Do you profess to love God but neglect (thờ ơ) His command (mênh lệnh) to take the oil and the wine of the gospel (nguyên tắc, cẩm nang) to every creature? If so, can you use the words cold-hearted hypocrite (kẻ đạo đức giả) on yourself? If you have seen self on the throne I would suggest that you go to Psalm 51 and make David’s prayer your own. Do it for your eternal salvation (cứu rỗi), do it for the lost, and do it for the future health of your marriage.
