'Take a chill pill' có từ 'pill' là thuốc, 'chill' là bình tĩnh = uống một liều thuốc bình tĩnh -> giữ bình tĩnh; bớt giận dữ, lo lắng, sợ hãi, thư giãn đi.

Ví dụ
"Take a chill pill and wait until the weather settles. It's too late when it's out of control (ngoài tầm kiểm soát) and it can happen very very quickly."

Another Twitter account (tài khoản) wrote "People need to take a chill pill. Obviously this is a joke. She is having fun with her kid and niece. Leave well alone. She is not promoting calorie counting for kids".

Eventually, one of the men retreated (rút lui). “Take a chill pill, it’s not worth it,” Dragicevich added. Emergency services were flooded with calls from concerned members of the public, and both ambulance and police responded to the incident. No one was taken to hospital.

Expectations (mong đợi) of the ECB are way ahead of some of its Governing Council members. According to ECB Vice President Luis de Guindos, Mr Market needs to take a chill-pill and “Robustify”. The problem is that Mr Market has now seen Christine Lagarde’s self-declared KPI’s for her own performance appraisal (đánh giá) reviews. It’s hard not to get carried away, when one has seen her intentions and capabilities.
